Our keynote speakers will discuss key issues related to the recognition and enforceability of judgements both in the UK and in Italy.

  1. Nicholas Damski and Moira Nardoni from Lipman Karas LLP will discuss the English law position in respect of the recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments. In particular, they will explore the tools available to practitioners in a post-Brexit world, when seeking to enforce an English judgment in an EU Member State or an EU judgment before the English court.

  2. Luca Passanante at Studio Legale Passanante, based in Italy, provides legal services in relation to civil, family and commercial litigation. PhD at the University of Bologna, he is full Professor of Civil Procedure at the Law Faculty of the University of Brescia, where he teaches Civil Procedure, Comparative Civil Procedure and ADR. He is responsible for international relations and Erasmus+ Programme. As a lawyer, he has the right of audience before the Supreme Courts and is enrolled in the national official register of mediators trainers. He will discuss the main issues related to the recognition and enforceability of foreign judgments in Italy.
